We will be hosting 2 blocks of local vendors and artisans, main stage performances at the Golden Age Club and children’s activities. The vision of the EV Street Fair and Show n’ Shine is to strengthen our community by providing enrichment and enjoyment to our residents on Canada Day. This will include involving nearby communities and the support of many organizations that are part of the East Village. This classic street fair will encourage Calgarians and visitors to walk about our community and experience our exciting transition. We will be providing many activities geared to our demographic and targeting future residents. Our focus will be the history of Calgary within the context of showcasing many historical aspects of East Village. In addition to the history aspect, East Village is home to the River Walk, Seafood Market Studios, Fort Calgary and the future home of Cantos Music Foundation. In addition, we have successfully approached neighboring community businesses to complement our street fair. Our vision for the EV Street Fair is to grow with the community and become East Village’s premier event proving a rich and vibrant experience for all Calgarians. We are confident that once again the East Village will be the urban downtown community it once was and will create a healthy environment for its residents and business owners
