    The Calgary Stampede is called The Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth for good reason. For 10 days every July we welcome the world to a spectacular celebration of western heritage and values.

    Looking for a place to park durring Stampede? We have the solution! You will be within walking distance of the Stampede grounds and the proceeds will go to help the students of Ramsay School with their extracurricular activies through out the year. Please come out and help support our students.

    32nd Anniversary Cowboy vs Firefighter Pole Climb.  Ranchman’s Cookhouse and Dancehall 9615 Macleod Trail S, Calgary. Monday, July 7, 2014  FREE

    The 32nd Annual Cowboy vs Firefighter Pole Climb is a Stampede Tradition you won’t want to miss! Calcutta starts at 6pm and the Pole Climb starts at 8pm! Ten pro rodeo contestants of the Calgary Stampede go head to head in a timed flag pole climb against ten Calgary Firefighters.It is an event that you WILL NOT want to miss!! A Contestant Calcutta is held prior to the climb with proceeds going to the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association Cowboy Benefit Fund and Calgary Firefighters Benevolent Fund!! No tickets necessary, patio admission is complimentary. Come early to ensure a good view of the contest.

    RedHat’s lunch will introduce Calgarians to their primary source of locally-grown grocery store produce through a healthy Stampede-themed lunch featuring unique food items prepared by the chef at Bite Groceteria.

    Performing her first show outside Las Vegas and the only Canadian show in 2014, Shania Twain will take the Saddledome stage this Stampede. An amazing and accomplished singer and songwriter, Twain is a phenomenon. Ticket includes admission to Stampede Park.

    The Second Annual Angus Cattle Run. Friday, July 11, 2014101 3 St SW. $20 Entry Fee

    The annual Angus Cattle Run is a 5K family fun-run in support of the Calgary Food Bank’s Children’s Milk Program. Participants are encouraged to express their spirit and dress as cowboys, cowgirls, western zombies, rodeo clowns, horses, even cattle. Prizes will be awarded to the runners with the most imaginative and artistic costumes. There is a $20 entry fee, and it includes a $15 tax reciept. The Angus Cattle Run is one of the fundraising events for Put the Boots to Hunger, a food and fund drive held during the ten days of Stampede.
