    The Champions Tour, is a golf tour run by the PGA Tour, which hosts a series of events annually in the US, Canada and the UK for golfers 50 years of age and older. The Champions Tour has the most recognizable and accomplished players in the game, with many of its 32 full-time members in the World Golf Hall of Fame competing regularly in its events. The Tour also counts numerous other major championship winners among its members. The Shaw Charity Classic was founded by a group of Calgary business leaders called the Patron Group and consists of Chairman Clay Riddel, Vice-Chairman Allan Markin, Jim Riddell, Keith MacPhail, Guy Turcotte and PGA Tour professional Stephen Ames. In its inaugural year the tournament raised a record $2.27 million for southern Alberta based charities.

    The weekend’s event is being hosted by the Calgary Disc Dogs which is a division of Zero Gravity Disc Dogs. All entries are in Canadian $. The Tournament will be located at Confederation Park within Calgary, AB. The site is in the NW part of Calgary near North Hill Mall the site is in the south end of the park and is called the Quebec area.
