    The Second Edition of the Calgary European Film Festival (CEFF) will take place in November 15-17, at the Globe Cinema, with five European countries bringing the exquisite art of European cinema to Calgary. Bulgaria, Romania, France, Poland, and the Czech Republic will be represented this year throughout the three day event. The cinemas in these countries gained a lot of recognition during the last few years, because of the award-winning young directors representing the new wave.     Experimental media, audio, performance and visual arts all come together in a colossal festival of sight and sound this November at EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts! Soundasaurus will blow your mind with edgy artists who manipulate forms of noise and sound, digital technology, environmental sound sampling, performative activities, electronics, installation, film and video to create sound art pieces. Soundasaurus features performances and creations from Canada, the USA, the United Kingdom and beyond! Be sure to join us for free, interactive sound installations in the Arts Learning Centre and Ledge Gallery of EPCOR CENTRE plus spontaneous soundbombing in various locations.     The International Avenue BRZ is sponsoring two FREE Concerts on Remembrance Day in our neighborhood, 3 pm and 7 pm. You will hear the stories of the Stones of Signal Hill, and the Izzy Doll woven together with wonderful Harmonies, Picture Shows, Guitars and Banjo and more. Izzy’s Troop: Phyllis Wheaton Singing Songwriter & Author, multi-instrumentalist Tom Poole, Opera trained singer Roberta Travis, and Improv singer Diana Slater Stay and mingle afterward, cookies and coffee provided.     Remembrance Day cemetery tour at Union Cemetery, 28th Ave. and Spiller Rd. Monday, Nov. 11.

    The City of Calgary is once again offering two history-rich cemetery tours through Union Cemetery, focusing on the local heroes buried there. Tours run from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and 2:30 to 4 p.m. on Monday, and admission is free. More information is available at City of Calgary
