    Lougheed House, in partnership with the Calgary Design Group, once again transforms historic Lougheed House for the holiday season. Explore unique Christmas designs, which this year will focus on Victorian traditions and the Christmas Tree, decorated by the Calgary Design Group, Lougheed House Staff, Volunteers, and you! Each weekend the House will be brimming with activities for all ages including choral singing, a vocalist and pianist on the House’s Steinway, Victorian Santa, interpretive tours of the House, apple cider, Christmas movies, and the opportunity to see our new exhibition “Four Winters: Interpretations of Alberta Landscapes” featuring four local artists, including Bill Duma and Billie Rae Busby.     Devonian Gardens hosts the Calgary Philharmonic. 317 Seventh Ave. S.W., fourth floor. Tuesday, December 17, 2013 noon -1:30pm Price: Free

    Downtown Calgarians will be treated to three different music ensembles from the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra performing at Devonian Gardens in December. Three free concerts, featuring different CPO musicians at each performance, will serenade crowds and animate this lush, tropical garden with beautiful live music.

    Lions’ Festival of Lights – Confederation Park – 14 Street – 24 Avenue NW;

    For many Calgary families, the annual visit to the Lions’ annual light display marks the beginning of the Christmas Season.  Located on the east side of the Confederation Golf Course, you’ll find thousands of glowing lights displayed in beautiful Christmas themes. See Merry Christmas written in 17 languages at the 25rd Annual Lions Festival of Lights located at Confederation Park. The display is illuminated daily from 7pm to Midnight until January 8.

     

    Winter Wonderland At Cardel Place! December 3, 12:30 to 4:30pm

    Get out of the cold and come on down to Cardel Place for some indoor wintry family fun!
